Question: What business does a beer brewery have making dog treats?
Answer: Each batch of our beer takes 100's of pounds of malted grain to brew. The grain is steeped in water which removes most of the soluble carbohydrates and sugar. What is left over is mostly fiber and protein. Many breweries just send this “spent-grain” straight to a land-fill. At Quay Street our spent-grain, also known as "brewers' grain," is used as a food supplement for local farm animals, used to compost gardens; and, best of all, forms the basis for these delicious treats for your dogs.
Brewhouse Bones are all natural, no preservatives. Every batch is carefully hand made. Wholesome ingredients include brewers' grain, flour, salt, and other natural flavors from our restaurant's kitchen. Taste tested by our dogs, our customers' dogs, big dogs and little dogs, old dogs and puppies -- preferred by all.
Pure enough for people -- you may be tempted by the smell -- but, please, do not sneak the treats from the dogs: they will get angry!
